Programme

Cancellation of our meetings

Just to let members and visitors know that our monthly meetings will be cancelled until further notice. This is based on advice from the government to help keep our members safe.

The Annual Plant Sale on the 6th June will also be cancelled as well as our planned outings (see the outings page).

Once normal service resumes, your membership fee will be adjusted accordingly for those who have paid their subscription this year.

In the meantime, we thought you might like to stay in touch with each other via the website. Please share your thoughts, comments, ideas, tips, reflections and photos by using the email address on the contacts page. These will then be posted on the new ‘Your Say’ page.

Annual Plant Sale (Now cancelled)

Cricklade Garden Club’s annual plant sale has been reinstated having been voted back by over half of our members at the October 2019 AGM. The venue has changed to Cricklade Town Hall to make it easier for people to park nearby to carry plants to and fro. To be held on 6th June 2020, doors will be open to the public from 9am to midday.

Those wishing to sell plants can hire a table for £5 with all proceeds from plant sales going to the vendor.  Relevant local charitable organisations are being invited to attend to provide additional interest should members wish to come along and support them. For example, TWIGS (Therapeutic Work In Gardening) will be there selling plants that have been grown by service users to help raise funds for the charity.

If people wish to donate plants to be sold on behalf of the club then these will also need to be brought to the hall between 8am and 9am on the day.

Tea, coffee and cakes will be served during the morning and the club’s second grand raffle of the year will be held.

Please contact our new committee member Janet Williams via this website if you would like to hire a table to sell your produce or need any additional information about the Plant Sale.

Evening meetings (Now cancelled until further notice)

Guest speakers are organised for each evening meeting throughout the garden club year. The talks, which start at 7.30pm, typically last just under an hour and include a mix of garden-related subjects. All guest speakers share one thing in common – they are all passionate about their subject.
