A small group of 9 visited this 40 acre Gloucestershire estate which surrounds a lovely house (1658).
The current owner Roger Head started restoration in 1994 and has both restored old areas and developed new gardens. It includes a fernery, 3 lakes and water gardens and many rose gardens.
On an unsettled thundery day we managed to dodge the only shower with tea and cake in the Orangery.
Col. Mike Bennett met us and facilitated the visit, armed with a map we were then left to explore the grounds on our own.
